Principle Baseball was born from the vision of Phillip Cuevas, a former professional baseball player, kinesiology expert, and lifelong mentor. Drafted at just 16 years old by the Philadelphia Phillies, Phillip’s journey from the Dominican Republic to the U.S. diamond shaped a deep understanding of the game’s physical and mental demands. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and record-setting track achievements, he merged cutting-edge science with a player’s perspective to create a training system unlike any other.
Principle Baseball believes in automating your skills, developing instinctive performance through motor learning, biomechanics, and sports psychology. Our programs go beyond mechanics, building resilience, work ethic, and self-confidence so athletes can thrive in baseball’s “game of failure.” From private instruction to college recruitment guidance, we prepare players not just to compete but to excel, both on the field and in life.
Our Journey So Far
From offering one-on-one lessons in 2010 to managing competitive travel teams and guiding families through the college recruitment process, Phillip Cuevas has spent over a decade shaping the next generation of players. In 2019, Principle Baseball became an official brand, grounded in science-based training and mental performance coaching. The opening of our state-of-the-art indoor facility in 2025 marked a new era, bringing advanced tools like HitTrax technology, turf fields, and dedicated training zones to athletes year-round.
